From The Pastor
Next Sunday, April 28th will be the last weekend that our Seminarian Interns will be with
us. Cesar Gomez and Samuel Gerbic have been with us since September. Both
seminarians, besides assisting at Sunday Masses, were involved with groups in the
parish. Cesar worked with our RCIA program, preparing catechumens and candidates
for baptism and reception into the Church. Samuel helped Anna McAndrew our youth
director with the spiritual and pastoral support of the Youth Group. Cesar will be
ordained a deacon in May for the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas and Samuel will
continue his studies at Kenrick Seminary. We have been blessed to have both here at
Queen of All Saints. Cesar, after ordination to the priesthood will work in the
Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, while Samuel, if it is God’s plan, will be ordained a
priest for the Archdiocese of St. Louis several years from now and perhaps will return to
Queen of All Saints Parish as a brand-new priest to be with us again. (One can only
hope!). I’m grateful for their service to our parish; they will both be truly missed. Please
pray for them and no matter where God leads them in the future, may they continue to
serve with the joy and the faith they have shared with us. Thank you, Cesar and
Samuel!
