What do I do during Eucharistic Adoration?
Parishioners generously volunteer to spend time in Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, typically for one-hour increments. Ideally, at least two to four people should be present each hour. However, all are welcome to stop in at any time to spend quiet moments with the Lord, even if they have not signed up in advance.
Eucharistic Adoration is a time to sit in prayer and silence with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Silence is uncomfortable for many of us – if you find you do not know what to do in the silence, you’re not alone! It’s okay to start small. Offer ten minutes at first, and work up slowly bit by bit until you are able to offer an entire hour of Adoration.
We have many resources available to assist you in prayer. In the back of the church is a cart with small books, pamphlets, Bibles, and other resources to assist in saying the Rosary, Divine Mercy chaplet, praying with scripture, and other forms of prayer. The Queen of All Saints library is also available in the vestibule with many spiritual books on different topics.
The greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white Host.
–Venerable Fulton J. Sheen
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O Good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from you.
From the wicked foe, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me
and bid me come to you
That with your saints I may praise you
For ever and ever.
Amen.
