Stations of the Cross - Last Day

Our day began by visiting the Church of Saint Anne, which is dedicated to the Mother of Mary and rests on the same site of the healing of the man at the pools of Bethsaida.  We were able to celebrate Mass at the Church of the Flagellation that rests over the Antonio Fortress built by Herod the Great as a military barracks to protect the Jewish Temple.  This is also the site of Pilate Praetorium.  This is also where we began the Way of the Cross that took us to the place of Christ's crucifixion and burial.

Following the Stations we enjoyed a free afternoon.  Many shopped, relaxed and of course pack for the journey home.  That journey begins at 12 midnight with a wake-up call.
