The Parish Council is a ministry formed in accordance with Archdiocesan regulations and the directives of Vatican II. The primary purposes of the Council are to formulate long term goals and policies aimed at serving the total needs of all parishioners including: spiritual, material, social and educational.
Other responsibilities of the council include: promoting dialogue between parishioners and the parish staff, coordinating parish activities, serving as advisers to the Pastor, developing community within the parish, etc. One of the prime roles of the council is to be a model Christian community. To this end, individual and communal prayer and personal Christian formation are of utmost importance to Council members.
All Parish Council meetings are open to all parishioners. The Parish Council meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Rectory Basement meeting room. All nine members are chosen through a special selection process.
